今天来学习英语的句子简单句子英语复合句，它分为三类：简单句(Simple Sentence)、并列句(Compound Sentence)和复合句(Complex Sentence)。

简单句分为三种：

第一种是主语加谓语。如：

My canary sings.我的金丝雀唱歌。

第二种是并列主语加谓语。如：

My canary and the mockingbird outside sings.

我的金丝雀和外面的蓝嘲鸫唱歌。

第三种是主语加并列谓语。如：

My canary sings and chirps.

我的金丝雀唱歌和叽叽喳喳叫。

并列句

由并列连词连接两个句子。如：

My canary sings, but your parrot talks. （由连词but连接两个句子）

我的金丝雀唱歌简单句子英语复合句，但是你的鹦鹉说话。

再来看一个例子：

Jake rode his bike, but Matt walked.

由连词but连接两个句子。前面的句子是Jake rode his bike简单句子英语复合句；后面的句子是 Matt walked。

Matt ate pancakes, and he ate bacon.

由连词and连接两个句子。前面的句子是Matt ate pancakes简单句子英语复合句；后面的句子是 he ate bacon。

并列句练习

将图中的两个简单句变为一个并列句。

解题思路：

简单句

I like pizza.我喜欢比萨。

I like spaghetti.我喜欢意大利面。

可以看出，这两个相同的地方是I like，后面的两个词都是食物，所以我们可以把两句话变为：

I like pizza and spaghetti.

但这句话不是并列句，但还是简单句。

要变为并列句，应该是有两个句子，即

I like pizza and I like spaghetti.

由连词and连接两个句子。

注意：

连接并列句的连词包括and, but, for, nor, or, so, yet等。

简单句：表达一个完整的想法；包括一个主语、谓语动词和宾语。

如:Joe swam in the swimming pool.Joe在游泳池里游泳。

并列句：由连词连接两个简单句。

连词有：for, and, not, but, or, yet, so.

如:Joe swam in the swimming pool, and then ate lunch.Joe在游泳池里游泳，然后吃了午饭。

复合句

由主句和从句构成，如：

Although my canary sings, your parrot can only talk.（由although连接两个句子）

虽然我的金丝雀唱歌，但是你的鹦鹉只会说话。

Despite the fact that your parrot talks,it cannot sing. （由despite连接两个句子）

不管你的鹦鹉能说话这个事实，它不能唱歌。

练习：

下面句子属于什么句子，简单句、并列句还是复合句？

Since I won't be able to attend the party, I'll just send my gift with you.

I want my friend to sleep over, but my family has other plans.

第1个句子Since I won't be able to attend the party, I'll just send my gift with you.中有从属连词since，所以它是复合句complex。

第2个句子I want my friend to sleep over, but my family has other plans.中有并列连词but，所以它是并列句compound。

并列复合句

Rufus loves Roxis because she is adorable, and she defers to him.

这个句子由并列连词and连接两个句子，但是and前一个句子中还有一个由because引导的原因状语从句。
